A very good afternoon one and all present here. Hearty welcome to you all to the 28th Annual Day celebration of St Mary's Public School, Puthuppally. I am honoured to have this opportunity to present before you the consistent upward graph of our schools achievements. And I would like to thank each one of you for being a significant part of the glorious journey of St Mary's Public School .We have always been committed to create an environment in the school which helps the young minds to blossom and provide a platform for individual thinking and holistic and innovative development of every child's personality.
First SMC meeting was held on 30th May at the school premises, School Manager ,Principal, Academic Director, Teacher representatives appreciated the academic performance of all classes from LKG to X year plan for 2025-2026 was made. NEP related changes in the curriculum and other student welfare programmes were thought out.
10th CBSE Result was declared on 20th May, and Our school recorded 100% result with all first divisions. Total 20 students appeared and 14 got more than 70% marks. School topper was Athul krishna Maneesh with 93% marks, Drisya Biju and Joel Joji with 92% marks, Drisya, Joel, Arafi and Gautham with 99 marks in Malayalam and Athul krishna achieved 99 in social science . This result reflects, the collective efforts of our Students from the village back ground,dedicated teachers, parents and management. The achievements of our students were recognised at the school Merit Day and the Central Sahodaya Merit day.
The Student Council Election was conducted in the democratic spirit of "one student, one vote" .Oath-taking ceremony was officiated by our manager Rev. Fr. Joseph k. Mathew. Cultural achievements:
The inter-house cultural fest provided a platform for all students to showcase their talents. The winners progressed to the Sahodaya District Level competitions. Sargasangamom 2025 hoisted by Labour India School,Marangattupally, Kottayam and won 160 points with A grade and stood 11th among the secondary schools. Inter school cultural fest brought together CBSE Secondary school from across Kottayam(District) promoting creativity, confidence and healthy competition. Our students also participated in inter-school competitions in chess and won several prizes. Our school won the title of the first fully Chess literate school in Kerala. Our Arts fest with debate, quiz and annual day themes were quiet eye catching . Our school kept up the first position in One Act Play for the last 5 consecutive years. Our school band is famous and participated in the state level competitions, and inter school competitions in the district levels and local levels and won many prizes.
Dance, Yoga, Organ, Drawing & Painting Karatte and sports and gardening were taken up as a part of CCA through out the year.
All students participated in the inter-house sports fest held in the school playground for two days. Special coaching is going on for Foot ball and Roller scatting. Inter house games and matches were also conducted.
Our students participated in the Rally of the world Heart Day and Blood donation Day with placard for giving the awareness to public related protecting our health . Students actively participated in the Swachh Bharat Community awareness programme conducted by the Puthuppally Panchayat. Our students are the active members of Akhila Kerala Bala Jana Sakhyam, which is the longest student social Service organisation in Asia, powered by Malayala Manorama newspaper. Training was given for bulb making, Mushroom farming, Soap making . Students actively participated in field trip and other Community outreach programmes, which helped them nurture empathy, social responsibility and experiential learning.
Various school clubs inaugurated were Nature Club, Language club, Science club and Arts club and conducted activities throughout the year and observed important occasions including world Environment Day, International Yoga Day, Reading Day, Independence Day, Onam, Children's day and Christmas through meaningful activities that promoted environmental awarness, patriotism, reading habits, cultural heritage and overall well-being.
Students were provided with skill development programme career guidance sessions, and awareness workshops to prepare them for future citizens.
Teacher training programmes were conducted in the School level by Lead group to strengthen pedagogical and professional development. All teachers including the Principal attended the CBSE training for 20-50 hours. Staff meetings were conducted on monthly basis and analysed the progress of each and ever students.
Open house meeting, PTA Executive Committee meetings and individual meetings were conducted regularly to interact with parents on various academic, personal and overall development of the students .
Charuaprabha (Ix) was selected for IAS coaching in Thiruvananthapuram, Nirmal Abraham Thomas (IX) Janeev Krishna (VIII) won interschool Maths Quiz 3rd position, Rayan Kurian Manu(III) Inter school chess Competition 5th Position and Janeev Krishna 7th position.
The academic year 2025-2026 has been a journey of learning ,improvement ,achievements and new initiatives. Our school has proudly completed 28 years of dedicated service in the field of education.
